Looking for fun things to do with your children this summer? Look no further! The Crediton Heart Project’s  family-friendly programme of activities and shows promises something for everyone.

Running from 8th to 17th August, the Heart Project has once again partnered with Crediton Arts Centre to deliver eight days of creative workshops, film screenings, theatre and music events. This year’s programme builds on the success of summer workshops and activities held by the Crediton Heart Project and Crediton Arts Centre over the past two years.

Taking place across three venues, with lots for all ages, the workshops allow participants to try their hand at all sorts of crafty fun activities from pottery to gelli plate printing, robot making to paper bead jewellery creation. Parents and carers are very welcome to join in too!

Film screenings include musical, comedy-drama Wonka and other-worldly fairy tale, The Shape of Water. There are also two evenings of music to enjoy – Heart Music showcases local musical talent at Crediton Arts Centre and another evening features local band, Moon Jazz, in the splendid setting of the parish church.

This year's festival culminates on Saturday 17th August with 'Arts in the Park', a fantastic day of free activities held in Newcombes Meadow. The day will feature a variety of engaging events to delight all ages, including street theatre performances, circus skills and drumming workshops. Additionally, there will be a craft fair and food stalls, all in the park from 10am-4pm.

Workshops are open to all ages unless specified and cost just £3 for under 16s, or £5 for 16+, Children aged 5 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult or a permission form signed at the venue. Ages 5-11 must be accompanied by an adult who can participate or watch.
